Default 407 heater valve, eBay

Hi Richard, Not completely certain but UK eBay item 290326979175 for
a Sunbeam Alpine looks pretty close. I'm looking at the fitting to
the heater matrix, which is the O-ring type with flange, position of
control cable and the other water connection. The Sunbeam one (and
all others advertised) do however have a pressed steel cover on the
control cable side rather than the original die cast version, maybe
when sprayed black it will look OK. Otherwise I might try and fix
the original die cast cover to the new valve as that part of mine is
OK, it's the other side that has corroded away.

Confirmation later when my sister in UK procures it and ships it to NZ...

Further to earlier posts regarding the limiting straps on the rear
axle of the 405 and other 2 litres.... I used some similar width tie
down strapping rated at 1 ton, cut to length, after a few trips in
the NZ mud I'm sure they will look fairly original...

Default 407 heater valve

Hi all,
In my thanks to all who helped me with the heater valve, I said that
ACCS supplied glass to Bristol cars. Toby Silverton has spoken to me
and said that he had indeed had a couple of screen from ACCS to cover
a shortfall but that was all.
I hope that clarifies the situation.
Toby S says it is his intention to hold all parts for every Bristol ever
made.

Nick
