Default Urgent Help

My Bristol 411 has decided to not start 3 days before the BRDC Meet at Silverstone.

When I turn the ignition key I just get a clicking noise and start not engaging.
I am assuming the starter motor has given up the ghost....
Unless anyone has any other ideas ???????

Assuming this is the problem

What is the part number for a Bristol 411 Mark 1 starter motor?
What was it from??

many thanks for any help
Martin

Have you checked the battery?

Forgive me if it sounds obvious, but even a relatively new battery that is in less than tip top shape can cause issues.

First thing I tried.

Put a jump pack on but same problem just a click.
Ran gear lever up and down, even tried starting in Neutral
Has done this a couple of times in the past but would start after a few attempts

Real Steel will almost certainly have a starter motor in stock and they normally deliver very quickly.

Bad contacts (oxydized) on the starter motor or the safety battery connector/trickle charger? It happened to me

Best
