My Bristol 411 has decided to not start 3 days before the BRDC Meet at Silverstone.
When I turn the ignition key I just get a clicking noise and start not engaging. I am assuming the starter motor has given up the ghost.... Unless anyone has any other ideas ??????? Assuming this is the problem What is the part number for a Bristol 411 Mark 1 starter motor? What was it from?? many thanks for any help Martin |

Forgive me if it sounds obvious, but even a relatively new battery that is in less than tip top shape can cause issues. |

Put a jump pack on but same problem just a click. Ran gear lever up and down, even tried starting in Neutral Has done this a couple of times in the past but would start after a few attempts |

Use voltmeter to confirm voltage at battery and ensure connections at starter are tight. Also a few taps on the starter with a hammer can free it up if stuck.
If battery is older, the cranking amps may not be what they should. Good luck and let us know the culprit once sorted. Paul |
