![]() The media attention Bristol gets in the last few years is really amazing. Everyone knows about Inspector Lynley's 410 and now even a 405 appears in a major movie.
The plot seems to be really interesting. If this Mr. Goldman was such an important customer ("several Bristols") at the time, he should still be in Bristol's customer file archives and as this affair took place in the early sixties he was probably quite the same age as Tony Crook, I guess? I'd really like to watch this film (all the more so since the beautiful heroine makes me feel quite sentimental, reminding me of an English girl I knew 25 years ago) but don't know if it is already available on DVD. At least, I haven't heared about it being shown in German cinemas. Last edited by Markus Berzborn; 08-09-09 at 09:02 PM. |

![]() It's more likey that a member of the Force sees the movie and puts
405s on a list with Novas, Escorts and old Hondas to be stopped and owners at least asked to produce documents if not provide DNA every time they take them out. I'm damn glad I opted for a 400. They have an untarnished reputation. Ash |

![]() I think it opens here (in the cinemas) next month. Lynley's 410 is for sale at Bristol Cars right now.

![]() I see from the internet it opens in the UK at the end of October and, Markus, in Germany in Feb. 2010 although it was shown at the Berlin Film Festival in Feb. 2009.
I just hope it doesn't give 405 drivers a "bad" name. Richard |
