Default Looking for David Yoxall's Bristol 401

Hello,
I was wondering if my father's 401 was still around. He was a member of the Bristol Club in the 1970s. He would have sold it in 1979 through Clive's Garage in London Colney (near St Albans) as we moved to Canada at that time. It was green, but do not have any more information than that.

Bit of a long shot (and sketchy details), but would love to know if the car was still known to the club.
Cheers,
John Yoxall

John,
I had a look through my copies of the old membership lists for the period 1974 to 79 and the only reference I can find to your father is in the 79 list at an address in St Albans but with no car details given.
Unfortunately I am missing the copy for 1978 but prior to that I can't find him listed.
If anyone has a copy of the 78 list and he was a member of the BOC then it may show the car details.
Geoff.

Thanks Geoff for your efforts. I found a photo today of the car at a car show at Beaumont School in the 70s. Unfortunately the photo is of a 3/4 angle so the number plate is difficult to make out. It appears to be MNE 917, MNF 917, MWF 917, or MWE 917.

Do any of these number plates match or come close to any surviving 401s?
Cheers,
John Yoxall

John,
I had a quick look through the BOC Register and found

WMF917 Chassis 401/850 Green (but this number was transferred from a 403)

MNF917 Chassis 401/1121 Green last known location "London"

Can you scan a high definition copy of the photo and put it on the Forum so we can have a look ??

Hello,
Thanks Geoff for your efforts. I found an old photocopy of the log book. The car is MNF 917. Chassis number 1121, engine 2028. Hope it returns from hibernation (somewhere in London) soon!
Thanks, John
