Key Fob
The key fob which came with my 1962 407 is a very small circular Bristol logo on a leather backing. Colour of the medallion is silver and just about a thumb nail in size. I cannot post a 'photo at the moment as I an in our house in Spain.

I think they suit the car - very understated! I have only just realised that the two period key fobs are different, so they may not have come with the car. At least not both of them. Did these key fobs normally come with a 411 of did they pre date it? Greg, I am curious to know, what does "very rare" mean? and what led you to the conclusion that it is "very rare"? *Just kidding, I bought it from Bristol Car Services in the late 1990s. (If I was going to get any made in China I would make sure it said "2 Litre"!) . |

2 litre key fob?
My Bristol key fob, not necessarily 2 litre, was used I would think until they ran out of them. Mine came with my car and was not used a lot, the second set of keys on a more modern fob had more wear, I suspect that previous owners valued the little one more. I have certainly used it when we went to concours etc. it like the one on the far left of Gregs compendium of keys.
I think that the father of the young man who writes the junior section of the mag, young Thomas once owned my 407 according to all the history I have since the car was delivered new by one of Bristol Cars dealers in Leeds. Nick 407 6028 |

Can anyone shed any light on the history of this Bristol pegasus fob? I bought it recently on eBay, after the poor quality imitation leather on the one I bought new from Bristol Cars a few years ago fell apart, although this one is a bit worn too.

Bristol old style key fob
The key fob just posted by Sam I have not seen before, mine is the same as the one on Des's reply which I think were issued as I said before until they ran out. I.E. not just for 2 litres as mine is with my 407.

Hi
Probably a city of Bristol souvenir. From an explanation of the city's coat of arms "Supporters : On either side a Unicorn sejant Or armed maned and unguled Sable. ------------the Unicorns will only do homage to men of virtue" |
