Default Book - Eight Litre Bentley by Clare Hay

UPDATE: This book is now for sale ( July 2017) for £2100 (includes postage to anywhere in the world). NB. The copy for sale is one of a handful of additional copies sold directly by the author which were not included in the original numbered run, it has a slightly different cover design to the first 200 copies. Signed by the author (Clare Hay). The photos below are of this book.

Another important book by renowned Bentley authority Clare Hay. Hard bound in dark blue cloth, 10”x11.5”, 265 pages printed on high quality glossy paper with countless colour and (mainly) black & white photographs, many of which have never been published before.

The book begins with a couple of pages describing the situation Bentley found themselves in in the late 1920s and early 1930s, followed by 21 pages detailing the design and construction of the 8 litre chassis.

The remainder of the book details every 8 litre Bentley that ever existed, devoting anywhere from one to five or six pages per car, depending on the information and photographs available.

Three appendices at the rear list Specifications, Production Modifications and Registration to Chassis numbers.

This is an essential book for Bentley enthusiasts and of course anyone interested in buying one of these incredible cars!

As with most of Hay’s later books the print run was very small, and with only 200 copies printed the book was sold out almost immediately and you are unlikely to ever have the opportunity to leaf through this in a book shop, so I have attached a few photos of the inside of the book to give some idea of what it is like.
