Great to meet you there - it was an excellent day indeed. The woodwork was done by Chapman and Cliff. Wooden Dashboard Restoration | Chapman and Cliff | Home An excellent company to work with and highly recommended - feel free to mention me!
Will look into the shocks...squeak has gone - a bit of use seems to have worked wonders on the old girl! |

great woodwork link - I'll take my 410 wood there. Does anyone have a similar recommendation for chrome plating? I've been told I can't decorate the ground floor of the house with car interiors any more, so it's time to ship parts out...

Check my website out at Home - The Bristol 411 for mention of chroming company...they did an excellent job on mine. DO mention my name. They are a bit chaotic so make sure they know exactly what you want and when.

Yup - that is correct.
Just completed a round trip to Amsterdam. Excellent journey only marred by petrol at 1.72 euros a litre and me averaging 13mpg...! Lots of petrol stops. I dealt with the excessive wind noise around the windows by applying good old-fashioned draught excluder tape from the local DIY shop - cost £5. Worked a treat and I could hear Radio 4 clearly and quietly at 85-90mph. Not sure how long it will last but a good quick fix. And we did have a LOT of rain so thank the lord I fixed the wipers the week before. Anyone know if there is a fuse for the engine fan over-ride switch, fan-on light AND the headlamp main beam blue light on the instrument panel? They all seemed to stop working at the same time. Not had a chance to check the circuits yet. |
