The dificult part is to remove the instruments from the dashboard...

When removing (prying away) the bezel, it is important to work in small increments, going progressively all around the circumference.

If you remove the bezel/glass, do not just clean the glass, but do the rest of the mechanism too. Simple!. No need to take the internals apart, just clean with one of the sprays that do not leave residue behing, and lubricate.
