Three starters were ordered and two are fitted and working. One on a 407 and one on a 408. They work superb and are a doddle to fit.
Nic will have his when back from holiday. Well worth the search by Dave Taylor and the work he put in with Hot Heads USA All the usual benefits of a lot less battery needed for a much stronger turn over of the engine. Greg

Those resources that was given in this thread about the car starter motor replacement or parts was very informative. I might use these thing up when the time I need to change something from my car. Thanks for this one!

Starter motor
Mine is now fitted and I must say it is superb, the difference in "spin
rate" makes it sound very modern but has far less drain on the battery. It was well worth the exercise, I am very grateful for all the help I had from Dave Taylor and Greg. So I now have a 407 which starts like a dream, does not overheat, pumps it fuel up electronically it also has a dual point distributor ( obtained from Martin Barns at ACCS), now get 18/19 to the gallon, result!
