![]() What we need to do is establish if the 407/408 Mk1 starter is the same as the 408 Mk2/409/410 starter.
An aside to Kevin, didn't that book I sent you of specifications feature the 407/408? It's been so long ago I forget. Peter |

![]() Spare Parts lists are obtainable from the reprint secretary of the BOC.
The starter motor on the 313 is given in the spares manual as 2095400. I hope this is helpfull, Nick 407/6028 |

It would be good to get the 407/408 Mk1 parts list into the public domain. Do the BOC sell parts lists to non members? If anyone has the list and is willing to scan it I would be happy to put it on this site (as I did with the 408Mk2/409/410 parts lists). Alternatively if someone can send it to me I will scan it and send it back. Kevin |

![]() Hi,
. It is a book, same size as the red owners manual, easy way pay BOC membership and get cheap reprint about 100 pages including breakdown diagrams. I have two, one mint from the AA collection, one came with the car, and I have a reprint from BOC, very cheap. . Nick |

![]() Hi Greg,
As you know I am a bit "crook" at the moment and am not allowed to drive or lift anything. My gardener comes tomorrow so I will ask him to move the 407 and get the starter motor indoors so I can 'photograph it. That is if he comes! It might snow. Carol dare not drive it out of the garage as she has never driven the 407 or shown any inclination to do so!. One good reason for looking at the power steering we were talking about. . Kind regards, .Nick |

![]() Three starters were ordered and two are fitted and working. One on a 407 and one on a 408. They work superb and are a doddle to fit.
Nic will have his when back from holiday. Well worth the search by Dave Taylor and the work he put in with Hot Heads USA All the usual benefits of a lot less battery needed for a much stronger turn over of the engine. Greg |
