Maybe because it was a Canadian engine

The US of course got the bigger 318, because Chrysler kept the Canadian Plodge (Plymouth/Dodge) owners and dealers one step behind the US market.

Even on the Mopar forums you may not get much in the way of responses re the 313, but you will get more response asking about the 318 poly head engine.

What we need to do is establish if the 407/408 Mk1 starter is the same as the 408 Mk2/409/410 starter.

The Bristol part number for the 408 Mk2/409/410 starter was 2095150. If this is a match with the part# for the 407/408 Mk1 starter, then it is probably safe to just search for a 318 starter ("A" series, or poly head).

Does anyone have a parts list for the 407/408 Mk1 ?
