That didn't stop them in the past. They could have used the LA engine in the 410, but they continued using the 318 poly A series after it had ceased production.

They could have done, of course - but as this was an upgrade to a modern drivetrain, who’d really choose a Magnum/A518 ahead of an LS3/6L80?

It’s shorthand to describe a 410 upgraded by the factory to new suspension, brakes, engine etc. Similar to what they did with the 411s

From that chassis number the car would be a Series 4 probably started in late 1974 and finished in early 1975.
