Hi Thomas,
I bought them from a company called Amsteer Sale Ltd, they are based in Staffordshire. Excellent company to deal with, very helpful. Amsteer Sales Limited Unit 17 Ariane Lichfield Rd Ind Est Tamworth Staffs B79 7XF Brian |

I used them recently thanks to Brian (and others) recommending. I sent them my old tie rods and track rod ends a few months ago and they sent back nice new LH/RH ones - took about a fortnight and cost circa £150 for all 6 track rod ends and making up two rods.
For what it's worth I also got a selection of camber shims from Classic Bristol Car Parts so I could get that spot on when the alignment was being done as well. Andrew |

I agree with you about Amsteer, some time ago I ordered a new set of tie rod ends for a 411 as they were showing signs of age.I did this without knowing of the double left hand thread issue. The set arrived and I set about fitting them only to find that I had been supplied with left and right combinations ( why Bristol did the double LH system I have no idea). I contacted Amsteer and they at that stage knew nothing of the problem but to their great credit sent me 2 new left handed tie rod ends at no cost to me and told me not to worry about returning the others.I cannot speak to highly of the service they provided. I had no idea they would manufacture the RH replacement arms, what a great way to go it would make wheel allgnment so much easier and more accurate. |
