Just a quick update.

The 112mm template I made just fitted, but was a bit tight, this was probably due to the holes being 9/16" so no clearance on the threads.

But with a little more measurement the problem became clearer, as James suggested a dim of 2.591" should be obtained by measuring the centers of two adjacent studs. The pair I had previously measured were 2.572 which is what was throwing me.

Measureing all 5 pairs I got 2 at 2.59, two at 2.58 and one at 2.57, so the studs are a bit out but 112mm seems the right size.

Hopefully my clients split rims can be salvaged if he gets them rebuilt with new billet centers to the right spacing.

Thanks, Jason
