Gentlemen many thanks for all your feedback. If anyone can take a take a photo of where it is mounted on the firewall I would very much appreciate it.
When I bought the car it was fitted with a 6 cylinder Triumph engine.
We have now found a replacement Bristol engine but I am missing the rod that connects to the distributor.
