Hi Mike

If it's any help, this is what I did with mine - copied what was there.

I assumed it was original ...

Thanks Mike. Looking at the photo of the complete front from underneath ,I can see the strengthener is fixed to the wing edge in several places. Is it aluminium welded or glued?

I welded them in place.

I know modern adhesives are said to be brilliant but I'm to old to be sure.

There was so much work required on my car, I decided to buy a cheap TIG welder and taught myself to use it.
