406 sold by Wright Marshall Auction

A 406 "barn find" was sold by Wright Marshall Auctioneers (lot 414) on 7/8 October with a £2-3000 estimate! It actually went for about £19k! It had been laid up for 25-30 years & the engine "didn't turn" Mileage on the clock in the 50's. No doubt it will appear cleaned up, but "needing some work" at a significantly higher price, but I may be being cynical....I hope it has found a good new home with someone who can afford to open up the engine!
