Default Solex carb rebuild

Please can anyone recommend anyone to refurbish Solex carbs for a 2 litre? A rough idea of cost would be handy.

I think I remember reading something in a recent club publication about somewhere in South East England that sounded very reasonable.

Hi David,
Can’t help you with the Solex but the company I have used for my SU, Weber, Edlebrock and Zenith carburettors is Chatsworth Motor Spares.
The contact there is Eike Wellhausen. He is a very reliable person, I have never had any issues with his work and he would be my first port of call.
If you are unable to find his contact details, please send me a private email and I will forward them onto you.
Regards
Brian

Southern Carburetters, suppliers of spares for Solex, Stromberg or Zenith branded carburetters

They are located in Crawley

Thank you, Peter.

Have you used them and been happy with the results?

I haven't used them. They are more Webber experts but they tuned up my carbs OK.
Might have to use them with my current problems!

Default Carb rebuilding

You could try Gower and Lee (Bushey WD23 2ZG)- they have done a number of sets of Strombergs for me successfully and list Solex as one of the families they work on.
