I have pasted in their reply (complete with typo errors) and Stefano can see for...

Hi Stefano,
I would be interested if the car is in Europe / Italy. As usual....price and condition are of interest.
Let me know.

6 cyl Gaskets (head)
Eric,
You are making too much about this gasket. It works... and so it is not
defective.
As I said before, maybe a 10% difference in cooling. The other poster with
the seatbelt cover is more...

I don't think BCL was selling a defective product. It was a gasket that
worked for BMW and one little hole may make a 10% difference in cooling.
The BIG issue was the lack of a satisfactory answer...

My dear Bellerophon,
I could not agree with you more. Years ago when I bought my 400 I asked A
Blow to get me a starting handle as it was missing. He did and when I picked
the car up a Spencer...

Correct ....and why I and others do not use car fuel in our planes.
Aviation fuel does NOT have ethanol and has preservatives for long term

Thanks Geoff,
The website is of not much use, but from it I got their e-mail so I asked
for pictures, measurements and pricing.
Cheers

Well...I would agree with things not adding up.
The carbs are ok with the engine running. It is after some 10 minutes or
more with the engine off, that you feel the heat in the carbs. So once the...

Geoff,
I get about 22 to 25 on a run doing 60mph but then I am a little heavy
footed. The car runs well and is very smooth. I use 87 to 90 octane, never
higher.
No I don't have access to a gas...

the lean side...but the engine runs cool. Well Re the pump...I can't get it
started because the fuel...

I agree with you in checking parts, and yes I would have punched a new
hole. The engine function may not necessarily overheat even with a plugged
hole.
However Eric is correct, that the reply...

You don't say how much work the car needs. If it is very nice and missing
the engine and gearbox, it may boil down to spending a fair amount to buy
a Bristol engine or converting to another...
