Simply because there’s a lot more aftermarket support for the LS engines and associated gearboxes, and not very much for the third gen Chrysler Hemis.

It was rebodied by “tuning expert” David Creed of Shepherd’s Bush - gets a mention in the Palmer and Balfour books. It’s a pretty unappealing looking thing - believe it ended up with Brian May.
