Then did a stupid thing and sold it.

starter motors
In 1985 I bought a starter motor from Radley motors Bradford £40 they still
have them £160m ?+? it was epicyclic gearbox type and worked well.
for 400 CU IN engine. DO NOT EVER SELL YOUR CAR worse...

Hi James -I have access to a few Rolls and Bentleys and you should not
be put off! altho' as a previous Bristol owner 408 and 411 s5 Bristol comes out tops for easy repairs.Easy change big end shells...

radials 185 /16
Always go for radials, remember fitting to Jag XK 150 =Bristol 408
and 411 s5 (205/70/15) with Avon safety wheels.

starter problem =surely if starter works are there teeth left on the flywheel?
there could be just a bad spot on the circumferance of the flywheel,try turning the engine a bit by hand to get to good...

I did have wiring diag for 411 each "department" ie headlights =or heater blower etc was on a separate sheet and all very logical.
It may hopefully follow British standard colours for the wires...
