Always bearing in mind my car is a 400 not 403, the caps on my car’s dampers fitted an 11/16 AF socket snugly- which is obviously wrong but worked!

I had the same thing happen to me and bought a replacement from Bristol"s spares department, unfortunately it was the cable for the later 400's which have an outer metal casing...
