406 boot "spiggot"

Hi

does anyone have the "spiggot" if that's the right word, which is fitted to the boot lid and locates in the boot lock


or can someone supply a picture with dimensions so that I can get one...

managed to get some jaguar units which have the same hinged mounting but were a little short to the centre hook

so modified them and re-trimmed them, not concours but functional

took your ideas and fed water in via the main filler, the inner tube and the drain plug all worked as you said they should

having just got my 406 on the road after 20 years or so

needless to say some fettling needs to happen

we had a very metallic rattle noise in the rear, eventually found the shock...

petrol tank overflow pipe

whilst looking under the 406 yesterday I noticed that one of the pipe that come down inside the boot was damp with the smell of petrol

why would that happen any welcome

I have now installed inertia belts front and back in the 406

so other than trying to find out what sort of seal is used on the doors I'm ready to drive

once again...
