Interesting to know what people's thoughts are on this - I only heard about it last weekend. My brief look at the web site seems to suggest that they are just completing the remaining Fighter chassis and that will be it for any further Fighter production. Then they will concentrate on the new concept.

I recall someone tried to restart Bristol soon after its last collapse (not sure if it is the same guy), but ongoing legal issues kicked it into touch. It is odd because it is a later car, but has the top hinged boot with spare wheel inside, fixed rear window, and covers on the jacking points on the cills. I was under the impression that only very early cars were made with this configuration. Does anyone know more about the history of this car? The description suggests that it had an extensive restoration in the 1990s. It looked well bought at £20k+commission, but from what I could see there might be an issue with a weeping engine block.

It appears that the switch is an aftermarket on/off switch and not the original clockwork switch. The switch itself (enclosed photo), although working, seems to have come off its mounting and is loose so the switch cannot be easily operated.

Is there any other way of gaining access to this switch? I have taken the wood fillet off the top of the dash, but access is tight and there is no way I can see how the switch is mounted. I have tried taking the radio out, but it looks like I need to take the wood facia off for the radio to be removed because of some hidden bolts at the back.

Which is why I thought I would ask here if there was a more efficient way before I start dismantling the whole dash. I even looked behind the screen air intake as I think you can access this way on earlier models, but this looks like an empty plenem chamber with no access.
