Default Found an abandoned bristol

anyone know what year this car is and what model etc? I know nothing about these cars, is this one rare/scarce?

It is on the register as belonging to a BOC member.
I think we need to know where and how you have come upon it before saying anything else.

nice to know it's not abandoned and left to rot, BOC as in a member of this forum? Will not disclose its location for obvious reasons, found it accidently whilst photographing derelict 60s farms

Brataccas,
HNR651 is a 1952 Bristol 401 , well worth restoring rather than seeing it languish in storage for years . Unfortunately there are many more Bristols like that one awaiting restoration and sometimes they are stripped for parts unnecessarily.

No, BOC = Bristol Owners Club. https://boc.net/ although most of it's members are also on this site.
