411 electric wing mirrors and door trim mods
 

Someone raised the topic of wing mirrors on a 411 and I though some photos of a 411 fitted with electric wing mirrors might be useful - see attached photos.

The mirrors and the switches on the inside of the driver's door are Jaguar XJ6 Series III parts. I feel they suit the car very well.

You might also notice in one of the photos that the door trim has been modified. The pocket on the lower section of the door has been shortened and the forward area has been carpeted. I believe this mod was done by the factory. This is a very good idea, because when the pocket runs the full length of the door, the forward part of the pocket often gets scuffed or damaged by people's feet getting in and out of the car.

There's one cheap but important part I forgot to mention previously which is required when fitting the Jag mirrors - a plastic gasket which goes between the mirror base and the door.
