Default Beaufighter soft top and frame

Hi I'm trying to find a frame and soft top for my Beaufighter don’t suppose any one has one spare, or any recommendations of where I could get one fabricated in the Bristol area.

Hi Tony
I know that Graeme Payne has been working on a Beaufighter and has replaced the roof with a soft top. He might have a spare? M

Hi thanks for the idea, I’ve spoken to Graeme earlier in the year and all he had available was one small section of the frame which I purchase’d.
The hunt goes on.

I'm in the same boat.
How difficult would it be to get the parts fabricated?

There is another BODA member you could try, who is Jim Moro. I know that he has/had a 412 and he fabricated and welded a new roof section. M

Thought of the fabrication route, would need an original frame to ideally scan into a pc and have the individual parts laser cut?

Hi Tony
Another route to consider is to get a copy of an original blue print from the archives. That would give you exact dimensions, etc
