help again please

Hi all,

So yet more questions I’m afraid,

The front lower arms on a 407 (and possibly other Bristol’s) the inner bushes, where the lower arm slides onto the mounting peg that’s part of the front subframe, does anyone know if it crosses over to another vehicle? Such as Jaguar etc., I’ve been trying to work it out but can’t find a crossover, reason being and I know this divides opinions, I’m hoping to use urethane bushes here and of course there’s hardly any Bristol listings for urethane bushes,

And a detail question, the air filter housing on the 313ci Chrysler "again a 407" I know they didn’t come from the factory rusty and covered in dirt and grime,, but wondered if anyone knew were they originally finished in satin or gloss black?

Many thanks

Steve

I can't help you with the arms but the air cleaner on the 410 was originally gloss black so there's a fair chance the 407 was the same.

Thankyou, gloss black would have been my guess, although only a guess.. so I'll go with that,

The front bush issue is more vexing though, the front end appears to be very similar to some Jaguars of the day but I just can't cross the bushes over from anything else, ho hum, I'll keep looking,

If you can find oversized bushes it is possible to machine them to size on a lathe. There are some useful videos on youtube.

I can buy solid urothane bar from Chris at superflex and machine it to suit but that's the hard way round the problem,

I'm really hoping to find off the shelf bushes rather than machining my own,
