Kevin ,
The 408 is Chassis 7043 , that was sold to a specialist body repairer and painter in Sth Australia .
No doubt in due time it will be nicely restored and back on the road.
At the price of approx. GBP5800 it must be one of the cheapest Bristols of any type offered recently .
Here in Australia people pay those prices for basket case Holden or Fords that were just rubbish when new.
This is a handbuilt classic , one of only about 80 made and well worth restoring .
