Default 603s

On the dash we have two LUKEY button/switches/trims,
one each sitting outside of the speedo/tacho on either side and have no idea what they are or do as yet?

Can anyone help in shedding some light pls?

also either side of the radio there appear to be two small joystick controls, but we've not yet got to the radio while checking the wiring.

It's a long story - but am helping resurrect a 603s.
I'll pop a wanted list in the appropriate section in the morning.

thanks for looking.

and hello from me ;-)

Trims are where the hazard lights and brake fluid/handbrake warning lamps go; left toggle is the electric aerial, right dial is speaker balance.

yep, I think the radio controls are as you say, but the aerial and front speakers are disconnected presently so I'll look at that more later.

- but as you see the " Lukey " badges on the buttons either side of tacho/speedo aren't clear...

many thanks
Adrian

am getting closer to finding out - these could be electric side mirror adjustments.

in which case are they factory added? can't see any mention of them in the handbook or wiring diagrams

Not aware of any with original electric mirrors and I don't think the factory would have missed an opportunity to crank up the engraving machine for the switches.

They were an aftermarket kit mirror from Lukey Australia that make exhausts for performance upgrades now

There is one of the mirrors for sale on eBay UK at the moment ! I would be inclined to remove them but it would mean repairing the woodwork

Mr Crook didn't even like electric windows !! :-)

yep, that's how i found them too - by googling around ;-)

-an ebay item shows the switch pictured in a sales brochure.

- and with a bit more googling i found that Mr Lukey used to race a bristol-cooper or cooper-bristol.
Makes me wonder who used to own this car then from new.

The toggles are quite neat.
Even if the mirror motors are NBG then i'll leave the toggles in for now. More effort to remove them and blank them off then it is to leave them as they are.

Thank you for looking.
All good fun !
