Default Help required - Best value place to get a D2 head gasket from?

I've been interested to read these other posts, almost forgetting I cam here to ask a question!

I look after a 100D2 which has a slightly further raised compression ratio. My head gasket is beginning to leak combustion gas into my coolant and it doesn't run at full throttle. I don't have the gasket off yet, but believe it's standard thickness.

I know INRacing will sell me a gasket. They're obviously very good, but at a price. What are the other sources of Bristol gaskets in 2025 that I might consider please?

Thanks James

James,
I only know of two places to get a gasket in the UK and it’s INracing and Spencer lane jones. The latter is more expensive.
There composite gaskets and not solid copper or pressed coated metal .

You will also need wellseal for installing it.

To be fair to INracing I think there parts have been quite reasonable and service & knowledge very good.

Are you sure it’s just the head gasket as you ought to examine the head for signs of cracking/ porosity imho as well unless it’s very obvious it’s the gasket.

The standard Bristol head nut torque is low at 30ftlb and you can upgrade to higher tensile head studs @nd bolts allowing 40ftlb.

Unfortunately none of the Bristol engine work is cheap these days.

Thank you both, I shall make the enquiries. I've dealt with INRacing for the water pump, their service is indeed good as you say. The other name that has come up is Tony Byford.

I'm aware it could be a crack, I guess at this stage there's no way to tell until the head is off, and even then I may need to pressure test the head.

Is the Wellseal is for the faces of the gasket, or are there wet studs that need sealing?

Thanks James

If you use a INracing composite gasket the wellseal is for that ( as I was advised by Oliver at IN racing).
