Stainless manifold nuts

Any suggestions where I can find new stainless manifold peg nuts for connection to downpipes? I think I bought my last pair from Geoff Leigh but that was about 25 years ago.

Hi David , I think you can better go for the bronze nuts , I bough them several years ago at INRacing

That's a good Plan "B", thank you.

My limited experience suggests that the stainless nuts may come off more easily in years to come. I fitted them to my 403 and removed them without too much struggle about 20 years later. However the car hadn't covered many miles and I used anti seize compound when I put them on so I don't have particularly good scientific evidence.

Does anyone else have a strong opinion?

Hi David,
I only use Brass nuts on the studs when connecting the manifold to the cylinder heads but that is only my opinion and I never had an issue with them coming loose or difficulty in removing them when the time comes.

Thank you, Brian. I am very happy with brass nuts for manifold to head although I have on occasion had them cling to the studs and strip the thread in the cylinder head.
It's the peg nuts that attach the manifold to the downpipe that I am looking for now.
Cheers,
David.

Sorry David
You did say nuts to the down pipe.
I have been fighting with steel nuts on steel dowels between the exhaust manifold and cylinder head over the weekend on one of my other cars (not a Bristol). That’s all I can see at the moment! Fortunately they eventually all came off, some bringing the studs with them.
