Geoff,
Many thanks for this info. I’ve attached a pic of ID plate. The car belongs to my son-in-law’s grandmother & rarely sees the light of day. I have been aware of it for some time but this is the first I’ve been able to actually see photos (which were taken when she was away on holidays 😉 ![]() Having spoken to my son-in-law he believes there are documents/log book etc. which have been put away for ‘safe keeping’. I think she was being pestered by potential buyers after her husband passed away. I’ll make a few more enquiries and try to get more pics, although it may take a while !!! Regards. PS The car now resides in Northern Ireland. |

Kaltekhan ,
Thanks for the further information , Details from the Logbook would be important to record the history of the car. Pls send me a Private message through the Forum if there are details you dont want to make public . Is your son in law interested in taking over the 400 and restoring it . The body work certainly looks in restoreable condition . It would at least then stay in the family . I attach photos of one of my 400's that I've owned for the past 45 years and restored twice. Burgundy first then back to the original Metallic Green. Geoff |

Thanks for posting this, it's nice to see another 400 resurface after so many years off the radar.
Separately, the blue bicycle by the rear left wing of the car in your photos looks like an early Moulton, which I suspect is also well worth restoring. |

I would like to think the car can be saved (situation is a bit complicated).
I had noticed the bicycle but ironically I had spotted the one on the other side of the car with the chrome headlight. There may be a lot of work ahead !!! Thanks |
