If you ever find yourself laughing at the irreverent comments of Monty Python, Billy Connoly or even Bernard Manning then why not take the comments as banter ?

I thinks all concerned have broad shoulders and do we really want the world to think that Bristol owners are unable to laugh at each other ? Or worse, we always agree !

Or do we need Chinese style censorship.

Dear Ozy,
If I may, I think you might have meant "I wondered who had bought".... not
"whom".
As a fellow Yorkshireman, maybe it is time to quieten down a bit?
With best regards,
Andy.

It's the language Police again !

If you really believe that the ability to form a sentence correctly gives you superior intellect and a right to look down on people , you really have been over doing the weed in Holland for far too long.

Surely it's about communication and not a spelling test !

But of course, you are allowed to offend.

Andy,

I cannot apologise for something where I do not believe an apology is necessary - that would be dishonest and insincere. There again, should Colonel Saunders apologise for his appalling treatment of Gordon's presentation thern I may be convinced to follow suit.

Greg and Hal are right - take the commentry, barbed where necessary for what it is - banter and not personal slight.

Thank you for your correction of my didatic and poory structured prose and grammar, unfortunately having left school at 12 to go down t'pit, then go around the world with beastly sailors who(m) taught me bad words and then to drive a bin lorry for 26 years I haven't had much of an education and I'm sure that shows through occasionally.

Let's see if this thread peters out and if so then I'll go quiet for another couple of years - bit I am hopeful of achieving that magic 100 posting....

Wuv you,

Ozy

Thanks for that Greg,

This sort of thing always makes me smile. Friends and colleagues often lambast we Bristol owners and collectively brand us as being so clueless that we would only use an ex Army officer to pump up our tyres and put oil in our engines and even more clueless that they need a general factotum with a car barn to sell their cars for them. Being above or incapable of such mundane tasks however, they are more than able to criticise the slightest punctuation or grammetrical error in a forum posting.

The pen is indeed mightier than the sword!!!!!!!!!

Not really - I'm not from Doncaster and I don't consider being a disadvantaged ethnic minority digital citizen to be a problem either.

Really, I thought you were a nice guy!

Never done weed to be honest. But you do seem to have an inferiority
complex.
This whole discussion is stupid, so let's stop it.

Ozy.
I am a nicy guy!
I never said anything about a "disadvantaged ethnic minority digital
citizen". Whatever that is.
Where did you get that from?
But I do think now you do have a problem!
I don't.
Andy.

Ozy, loving the thread, great comebacks Will add another tuppence to help get to 100 postings... I've always loved the British sense of humour, seems to me that it's going the way of the slam door train...and that's a real shame...obviously the PC police are having their way in the UK and unfortunately the same occurring here in th US.

BTW, the Colonel Saunders crack was genius! Keep em coming...

Ah but he's an MD of a well known firm, has a 408 AND probably has a bigger letterbox than you have - who or is it whom has an inferiority complex now hmm?

Stop sulking because you arn't getting your way - I'll bet Lesley Garrett doesn't act like this and she's from Doncaster. Dunno about her letterbox either.

Wuv you,

Ozy

If you listened to Radio 4 you would know what a "disadvantaged ethnic minority digital citizen" is.

Mind telling us all what a problem I have - perchance something to do with my letterbox, you really do need to be more specific.

Still wuv you!

Paul,

I am so glad someone appreciates me here. You know no-one had a pop at Claude when he wuffled on about derivative reality so I thought I would get into the metaphysical ordure line with my digital citizen statement. You can't win them all I suppose. I think I should have quoted Socrates but there again, I prefer Cicero - "In times of war the law grows silent."

I am chuffed to hear that a 411S2 is in Texas, you really must tell me the tale of how you came by it by PM.

I'm glad you like the Colonel quip - I don't eat that stuff myself but I have heard that some people in Kentucky go get the KFC Obama bargain bucket - I've heard its a bargain because its full of left wings & assholes apparently.

Speak soon,

Wuv you as well,

Ozy

What is?

a) That you don't behave like Lesley Garrett and she's a prima donna?
b) That you won't tell me what my problem is.
c) That you have a smaller letterbox than Greg or me?
d) That you have an inferiority comples?
e) That you have a 412 and love egg boxes?
f) That you like KFC?
g) That you have never done weed?
h) That you admit to being from Doncaster?
h) All of the above.

Do tell we are aching to know.

There was nothing naughty, the Cicero quote ensured that. When in doubt, leaven with a quote by one of the ancient Greeks / Romans.

So its definitely safe for non-contrite Ozy to return, not that he ever left

Sorry, I should have said, from where did you get that.
But I still think you have a problem Ozy, if only your attitude.
Ándy.
