B 400 - backfire

During measuring the voltage at 3000 rpm all the carburettors produced backfire. I'd heard that backfiring while driving before but not as many as during that test. Any hints?

I'd measured the voltage with a modern meter at 3000 rpm. It is above 15V. Modern cars do not exceed 14,4 V. Something to change?

I wanted to check the level of the overdrive oil because it leaks.

The access to the level screw seems to be difficult - any hints?

But what kind of oil needs an overdrive?

I expected a grease nipple at the waterpump.

I found a thread with an Allen screw.

Is the thread only a dummy because the waterpump has a permanent lubrication?
