Default Power quarterlight windows

Hi all -

I wasn't sure if "quarter light" was a front "vent" window or a rear
hinged window - wikipedia says it can be both:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quarter_glass

My '66 Imperial has power (front) vent windows, controlled by an
electric motor and a flexible cable. I recently heard one flex joint
break loose, so have a fix ahead of me.

Technically, the quarter light is around the A-Pillar and not the C-Pillar
which is at the rear. Some say rear quarter light to avoid confusion. I'm
not sure if there is a particular name for the side rear windows.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I am talking about the rear windows which are probably classed as a "vent" rather than a "quarterlight". I just realised also, that they are different from quarterlights in that the hinge at one end rather than pivot on a vertical axis like a quarterlight does. It is these rear vents that it would be useful to have remotely operated in a Bristol. I can't think of a way to do it elegantly.

Do you know, i don't think there is any official term for the window other
than rear quarter window or something along those lines. Could Bristol
offer an electric operation of the read side window, instead of the Ford Ka
style of opening the window? It does seem a little downmarket and awkward
being a manual operation on the Blenheim 3.

I suppose it boils down to the Bristol notion that manual operation is failsafe and therefore it is unnecessary to offer electric operation. Maybe this sounds a bit of a cop out? They used to have the same argument that their ventilation systems were so good you didnt need a/c.
I remember the early series 1 603's used to have full elec adjustment of the front seats with auto tilt locking. For the series 2, auto locking and the elec recline mechanism was deleted suggesting this was a problematic piece of equipment.
