Default 408 engine earth

Our 408 doesn't have an engine/trans to chassis earth strap. Does anyone know where the earth cable was originally fixed at each end - I can't see any obvious places.
Many thanks

It is likely to have been taken from one side of the near side front engine mount to the other. In very traditional automotive manufacturing practice in order to make absolutely certain that it was exposed to the grottiest part of the engine bay whilst simultaneously being as inaccessible as it was possible to make it! Goodness only knows why this was standard practice but all the manufacturers did it.

OK, thanks Roger. I'll have another look there. Because the chassis is boxed it's very difficult to find a suitable place.
