411 rear silencer/resonator questions

I am looking for information, and preferably photos, of the rear silencer/muffler/resonator that is installed in the tailpipe of 411 cars just aft of the rear axle, please? Does it have a heat shield in place above it? Is it a resonator?

This part seems to have been introduced on the 411 but I think I may try to fit something similar on my 408 to further quieten the exhaust.
