Default 411 Series 1 Oil pump leak

Hi. I seem to have a leak from the external oil pump on my 411. Does anyone know if its possible to remove this pump to renew gaskets without removal of the entire engine??

Not a difficult task. Get a sold plank of timber under the sump and amply light pressure with a trolley jack to take the weight of the motor then from below remove the long engine mount bolt. You are then able to gently raise the motor just high enough to undo the bolts holding the oil pump.

A word of warning dont remove the oil lines from the lower face of the pump as the cast fitting is prone to splitting. ( This in fact might be where the leak is coming from). If that is the case let me know and I can give you some clues on a suitable replacement. Best of luck.
