603 S2: Removal of headlamp rims

This car is in KY: Can someone provide a clear and detailed guide to the removal of the headlamp rims, so as to access the lamp and check its wiring, please?

There is a small hole at the bottom of each of the four rims. There are screws in some of these holes, but not in the outer rim left (near) side. We have inserted a wire hook to attempt to pull it out, gently, but it hasn't worked thus far.
