I like it, but then, considering the image below taken of me and my '71 M-B in January, '72, I would, wouldn't I?

I quite like the two tone BMW 327's and have considered two toning one of
my 400's but have never really thought that the colour change line forward
of the bonnet suits the body shape . There are three other 400's that I know
have had a similar treatment to yours
Chassis 474 Maroon body with black wings & spare wheel cover , For Sale in
Japan earlier this year.

Chassis 573 Silver Grey with Burgundy wings in USA
Chassis 602 Dark green body & wings with cream body and bonnet sides in
Germany

What chassis , car & engine number of your 400?
As I try to keep a updated Register of all 400's on Ashley's website
www.JEL450.com <http://www.jel450.com/>

Thanks
Geoff Dowdle

Hi Geoff , I've seen the other two photos but haven't seen a photo of 602, do you have one? No , I'm not thinking of changing the color of br green is just fine on its own.
Regards Barry

Here are some pictures of the two-tone 400 in Germany which belongs to a friend. Also a picture comparing to his BMW 327 in a similar paint scheme. I think it looks very good.
He plans to be at the BAC100 celebrations in September so you can see it there.
The chassis no. is 443 though.

Richard,

Many thanks for your photos and chassis number correction , without
information like this it is impossible to produce & update a accurate
Register.

Would your friend be able to give the the Car number & Engine number from
the Brass ID Firewall plate and check that the current engine is original .
Any history of previous owners or Registered numbers would be appreciated as
well .

Many Thanks
Geoff D

Geoff,
I will find out what I can and let you know. I don't think the current engine is original but he still has the original.
Regards
Richard
