Default 400 electricals.

Having spent an interesting evening working through the 60 years of assorted wiring in my 400 i wonder if anyone can help with a source for the following;

Lucas 464 rear light units (i have the new chrome surrounds and glass but need the bulb holder unit)

Lucas side lights (again chrome and glass ok but bases rotted away) - I'm sure i was given a name and number of a man with the part but have managed to mislay it.

HMV Radiomobile radio (the power pack was still under the dash but radio unit long gone)

Rubber seals for the headlight chrome rims.

Braskes, Enots and suspension are done - once the electrics are sorted I'll go for starting the engine (and try to post some photos).

Cliff.

Cliff,
One of the best sources for your radio is Lester Moon of Vintage Radio
Services, 37 Court Road, Frampton Cotterell, Bristol BS17 2DE Phone 0454
772814

Your headlight needs can be supplied by our Bristol Owners Club Member
Keith Ardley of Ely in Cambridgeshire.
Hope this will help you.
My regards, and good luck with the restoration.

Default Radio Required

The radio you require is a Radiomobile Model 100. Please see my pm or alternately another source is Alan Marchant, trading as the Vintage Wireless Workshop Sale Manchester. Price will be c £350 - 400 for a restored unit.

Thanks for the radio feedback. open market, converted to solid state seems now to be nearer £500 than £400 but supply is clearly not a problem as I got the impression that both specialists have a few in stock awaiting customer specification. Current budget is needed for more pressing demands so the radio will have to wait..
Keith Ardley is absolutely the man for lighting and able to make up the rare front side lights if needed, along with headlamp and other lighting restoration.
Meanwhile can anyone help me with where to look for the restoration/replacement of the wiper mechanism? armature in the motor is defective.
