Bristol 401/403 reg number GNJ 640

Not sure of the full details but maybe the engine block included within a restoration package Im intending to view, may have came from the vehicle with the reg number GNJ640 so any information regarding this number would great to read.

Yes, I have written it down right the reg is GNJ 640.
Sorry realised what I have done, its been corrected.

"GNJ640" was 401 chassis 838 . Original engine 85C/1704 but later fitted 85C/1687 ex 401/875.
I understand 401/838 has been parted out and is extinct.

Hi Geoff
It seems the chap selling the initial project, has alot more Bristol parts, even another shell. I've seen photos of the Bristol plate on the body, is there a another plate on the chassis or just number stamped in the metal, where would I find this information the location on the chassis.
