Default Bristol reg number OHT526

Hi
I'm on the verge of buying a Bristol 401 restoration project with the reg number of OHT526, just wondered if anyone had any interesting history or knowledge of this car.

Colin,
I have very limited info about this 401 .

Chassis 401/959
Original engine 85C/1865
Original Colour Bristol Red
Despatched ex BAC to Cruickshank Motors Ltd/Bristol 27/7/51 . I assume registered shortly after as "OHT526" for First Owner

Mr. R.M.Hewlett of Taunton.

This car was in attendance at the BOC Concourse 1973

Unfortunately that is all I have.

Can you post some photos of the car on this Forum

Geoff

Hi Geoff
Thanks for the information I will post some photos when the deal is sorted. The project doesn't come with original engine, but does come with some other engine components.
I should have sorted the deal yesterday, but had cancel the visit during the week due an injury.

Wouldn't it be great if I could find some photos of that concours gathering with maybe OHT 526 on them.

Colin,

"OHT526" in 1973 was owned by P.S Griffith of Farnborough, Hants. and at the BOC Concourse came third in Class 2 (Aerodynes) . But no photos .

Hi Geoff
What a shame, maybe others reading this thread may know the previous owners, and more information can be unearthed.
Even better if others attending that particular concours event may have took some photos, fingers crossed.
