Default Did 405 carpets originally have rubber mats in some sections ?

405 chassis 4049 has carpets with sections of rubber mat sewn on in some places. The rear outer pieces where they fold over the chassis, and at the front the driver's side of the gear shift cover section, and around the inner wing curve, again only driver's side. It is completely missing the front driver's side main carpet, so I am unsure whether that would have had a mat as well.
Are these a later addition ?

For what it’s worth Joe, I’ve had three 405’s and none of them had rubber inserts like that.

Thanks Calibrator, that's good to know. I suspect that the rubber mat sections were sewn in later over high wear areas.
