Default Brakes

Evening all,

The brakes on my 406 are seized up and I am looking into options. Of course I could go back to original, but I'm sure we can do better, for less. Which would be nice. I've seen mention of Volvo calipers, and there are of course the coopercraft lovelies. I'm trying to see if anyone knows more about the Volvo option..such calipers were used on e-types also, so there could well be something in it. I think even Sherpa van ones are the same. I'm sure it would go down well on here if I put Sherpa brakes on my 406.. I may be able to answer my own question soon if my Volvo contacts come good but in the meantime does anyone know of any Volvo or other calipers that will fit a 406? Many thanks,

Dave

I've only got two of them on my 403. I had them relined in stainless steel and new pistons fitted. Overall it was a little cheaper than fitting Coopercrafts and retained the originality.
They were matched to a 4.5(I think):1 Jaguar servo and find the set up more than adequate for road use.
