401 shock absorbers

Can anyone suggest replacement front and back shock absorbers for a 1952 Bristol 401
Many thanks

Front: Koni 80.1149
Rear: Koni 80.1080 (Koni 80.1087 are stiffer and used on 403)

Cheers

Julian

Rear shocks

I replaced my original rears on my 403 in 2011 with Spax part No. K62EW0. They have been very good. They are adjustable. Spax also make an equivalent front version.
BTW, if you want to impress Spax ( or anyone else ) if you contact them - make enquiries about ' dampers ' ! Correctly, the springs are technically the shock absorbers and we are discussing dampers. Good luck.

401 Dampers / Shoch absorbers

Many thanks for the replies. Unfortunately Koni no longer produce dampers for a 401 and Spax do not list anything for a 401 either although they do list something for a 403 (I am still awaiting confirmation from the technical dept whether they are interchangeable)

Has anyone had experience in reconditioning dampers?
or
Can anyone suggest other manufacturers?
